Windows 10 Preinstalled. Asus F555BA. Trend Micro Maximum Security Home Version
I've been using Trend for appx 8 years now and have never had a problem. It is crashing at random. I can't see a pattern, except I'm busy. I click to open on Start Menu, it opens the whole console, restarts Trend and after 5 or so Mins, crashed again for no apparent reason with no error report.t. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times now to no avail. I have also run the troubleshooter, which did nothing at all.

I am curios about your comment "restarts" & "crashes". When I boot up, I get no indication that Trend is there at all. For that reason, I RUN AS ADMNSTRATOR & update manually---which puts the Trend icon in my tool bar. I wonder if I would know whether it crashed or restarted..

I have mine showing on the Taskbar, so when it crashes, the icon disappears. I've checked Processes in Task Manager and Trend isn't running. It just disappears. No warning, error reports etc.

Disie. Since you've tried the uninstall/reinstall, I would suggest that you call the Trend Micro help line for your location and have a TM tech take a look at your computer. That should solve your problem.

Thanks for the reply  woodartisan55. This was my last effort before getting them online. I use my Laptop to make money at all waking hours, so it's a matter of getting Laptop downtime. LOL

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours. I am just a volunteer!
Try it 1 time more, uninstall all TM products, reboot.
Download Registrar Home edition after install start the program, Click on home version.

Follow this:


So 2 times the whole registry cleaning.
Then do a search with MS, also 2 times the same way on your C:\ drive for all the TM files.

Then if you dont have conflicting software:
Reboot and do a new install.
