Trend Micro Internet Security keep shutting down

I have a Microsoft Surface 3 running Windows 10 Home edition. I have been using Trend Micro protection software for many years without getting any viruses or other issues. Recently I have noticed that Trend Micro Internet Security keeps shutting down and leaving my computer vulnerable. If I try and run a scan, it gets to c. 35% and shuts down.

I can't find any conflicting software of my laptop. Start-up can also take a long time. My software is fully up to date.

It does start but closes down of its own accord.

I have used Trend Micro since 2008. It is no longer fit for purpose. Fix it or, like many people, I will also go to others.
