Trend Micro interfering with Windows Backups

We have noticed a problem with Windows Backups suddenly not working on one particular machine. We tried several different things within the backup settings but the only thing that fixes the problem is turning Trend Micro Internet Security off. Once we deactivate TM the backup runs smoothly. The machine is a Dell laptop running Windows 10.

Is this a known issue? Any sort of solution for this?

We are currently checking the issue on our end for now and we will get back to you with some updates as soon as possible. For the meantime, can you tell us some of the information that we need below? 

Based from your description, it is only happening on one machine, right? Can you please get this information for us on that machine? 
Operating system: 
Trend Micro program version: 

Can you also get the same information from another machine which is not affected with the issue? 

Another workaround is to isolate the issue so we can know what exact module of the Trend Micro program is causing the issue with the Windows Backup service, you can try to disable the settings on the picture below one-by-one to further investigate. 

Note: To see this options, open the Trend Micro program's main console, click on the Settings button and click on Scan preferences.
