Trend Micro Installation Failure Due to Kaspersky Virus Scanner

I upgraded to High Sierra. Trend Micro AV broke. I downloaded the new installer, and during the install preparation I get a message "Unable to install Trend Micro AntiVirus. You must remove the security software shown below from your Mac before installing Trend Micro Antivirus; Kaspersky Virus Scanner". I had a free scanner app installed from them, uninstalled it, rebooted, and tried again. Got same message. Used Finder to remove any traces in libraries etc. Rebooted. Tried again. Same message. What are my options? Thank you very much.

Hello chasbaer and welcome to the community!

Let me help you on this matter.

There might be a remnant of the Kaspersky program left on your computer that needs to removed. You can check the steps on the link below so you can do it easily:
Trend Micro installer keeps detecting components of Kaspersky antivirus program

 I hope this helps.

Have a great day!
