Trend Micro hogging my processor.

I would like to understand what I can do regarding Trend Micro Anti-Malware Solutions Platform utilizing in excess of 60% of my processors resources. There is no conflicting software, no malware and I have re-installed Trend Micro as well to no avail. I am on the latest version with the latest updates.

Hi wesselo, sorry for the inconvenience it has caused. Performance issues could be caused by a number of different factors. Please follow the steps below to run Uninstall Tool and Remnant File Remover Tool, then reinstall Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017 to reset to a clean state.

Step 1. download the Uninstall Tool from this page and perform it.

Step 2. download the Remnant File Remover Tool from this page and perform it.

Step 3. download Trend Micro Internet Security from this page and install it.

It's quite a few steps to perform, but please do let us know if it solves the issue.

If the problem persists, please send us a screenshot of task manager and describe the problem in detail (e.g. basic PC info, actions taken when the performance issue occurred), and I'll be glad to assist you.
