Hi. I am using macOS High Sierra 10.13.5. A while ago, I downloaded FileZilla from I have some webpages need to upload. Somehow, Trend Micro won't allowed me to install FileZilla. In the antivirus logs, listed this OSX64INSTALLCOREMSGDC18 as a threat. If I downloaded FileZilla from another website, I truly understand if the software is not safe. But I downloaded it from FileZilla website itself. Please advice.

-I'm not a Trend Micro representative, but I like to give you some suggestion-

IT IS A KNOWN THING: there are potentially PUA during the Filezilla Client installation process that almost all AV block.
It is not a false positive, the FileZilla installer contains PUA (third party softwares, not malicious anyway).

I suggest you to exit antivirus, install FileZilla Client and /or Server, (check to not install PUA softwares when prompted -unflag the option-).
At the end of the installation reactivate your antivirus.
All should be fine.
Alternatevely try to use another software instead of Filezilla.

AT THIS PAGE some information about InstallCore

AT THIS PAGE other information on your threat (not the same InstallCore but the issue described by other FIleZilla users is the same)

Hi noahvearn,

If you understand the risk of installing programs being blocked by the Trend Micro program, you may add them in the exception list. Here's how:

Configuring the Exception List of Trend Micro Security software
