Trend Maximum is 'stuck' in scanning mode - has been running for hours (days?)

I've tried exiting Trend Maximum, but it still runs.  How do I stop it?

Hi Martin,

can you tell me (screen shot maybe ) with part of TM is scanning,
Because after a reboot the Scan stops.
So tell me wat kind of scan you mean.

Hello Tom - thanks for your assistance.  I rebooted (again) and this time Trend was closed and seems to be acting normal.

Now scanning stuck    I have tried rebooting    removing TM with the trouble shooting tool     TM will work fine for 2 o3 days then will get stuck on Now scanning again    this has been going on for months now     it is almost time for my renewal and I am afraid to renew   I really don't want to do this for another year
