Are you on the latest version?
Version:15.0.1212
I Quote a TM employee:
Checking the program and version of the Trend Micro product installed on my computer
If you are using the latest version already, there are several reasons why you are experiencing this issue.
1. You might have installed a conflicting Program
- See this link for the list of the Programs Conflicting with the Trend Micro Program
2. Your computer is infected by a malware.
- You can run the Anti Threat Toolkit, a free scanning tool that will look for malicious programs on your computer. See this link for the free tool.
Using the Trend Micro Anti-Threat Toolkit to analyze malware issues and clean infections (refer to the Clean Infected Computers portion)
3. There are conflicting files, processes or missing permissions.
- For this case, you can do a clean re-installation of the Trend Micro Program by following these steps.
a. Run Uninstall tool.
Uninstalling Trend Micro Security software using the Uninstall Tool
b. Run remnant File Remover
Using the Trend Micro Remnant File Remover Tool
c.Run Permission Tool
