Trend has a problem and disables

Yesterday every time I logged on to my computer Trend would come up fine but 15 minutes later it would disable and tell me to restart my computer to start again. Today it doesn't even wait 15 minutes before I get that message.

Hello pdmcln,

This error message pops-up when there incompatible software in your device, like other Anti-Virus programs. Please open your Installed Programs list and check if there are other Anti-virus programs. If you can not locate other Anti-virus program, try the full clean re-installation of your Trend Micro Security. Check the links provided below for the steps on how to do the clean re-installation.

Steps for clean re-installation:
1. Uninstall trend micro maximum security, click the link provided below on how to uninstall it:
     - Uninstalling Trend Micro Security

2. Install the latest Trend Micro Maximum Security, click the link provided below on how to install the latest Trend Micro Maximum Security Version:
     - Installing Trend Micro Maximum Security Version

3. Check the Trend Micro Main Console

Hi JONORAF,

I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering the start-up issue of the Trend Micro program. 

Kindly try to restart the Trend Micro components of the program and delete the Trend Micro program updates. To do that, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit. Press and hold the Windows button and letter R on your keyboard both at the same time to open the Run console. After that, type: supporttool
  2. Click on OK.
  3. On the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit, go to (C) Uninstall and then click on 5. Stop all components. Please wait until the Trend Micro Security icon on your system tray disappears before proceeding to the next step.
  4. Click on (2) Delete Now and (3) Delete Now to delete the Trend Micro program updates. 
  5. After that, click (4) Start all components to start the Trend Micro program on your computer.
After the steps above, manual update your Trend Micro program.
