Too Intrusive

Too many times I am downloading a file and it almost completes the download, and then it just fails to complete. No message, nothing.  I turn off TrendMicro monitoring my downloads and the download completes just fine.  If your software wants to interrupt my download, why not notify me before it takes any action, and let me decide whether to abort the download or not .  I'm an adult, I can take some of the responsibility.  I guess basically I am saying backoff.

About this problem that you are experiencing, you may need to upgrade the Trend Micro program on your computer if necessary since this is a possible performance issue. Please see the article below for the instructions.

Upgrading Trend Micro Security to the latest version

If you have already upgraded to the latest version, please follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Uninstall Trend Micro Security
  • Press the Windows Button and letter "R" both on your keyboard at the same time to open the Run Console
  • Once the Run Console is open, type: supporttool
  • Doing that will open the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit. Once open, go to (C) Uninstall and then click on "1. Uninstall Software"
  • Wait for the uninstall process to finish then restart the computer when prompted
Step 2: Run Trend Micro Remnant File Remover Tool and Trend Micro Permission Tool

Note: Please  make sure to restart your computer when required.

Step 3: Reinstall Trend Micro Security then replicate the issue
