Thank you for providing the screenshot! For your situation, we suggest following the online documents below to perform a HouseCall then reinstall the Maximum Security:
1) Scanning your computer using Trend Micro HouseCall
2) Reinstalling the latest version of Trend Micro Security program

After the reinstallation completed, please run an update manually by following steps:
  1. Right-click on the Trend Micro system tray icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.
  2. Click "Check for Program Updates" and the About Your Software windows will appear and will automatically check for available updates.
Please let me know if Event Viewer stops showing errors on your computer.

Thanks for the reply.
I have run HouseCall, as you can see the results are clear.
I will reinstall TM tomorrow and report back.
Please note that this problem began 1 week ago following the installation of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update which forced me to re install Trend Micro.

Hi,

Did the uninstall/reinstall this morning.
When I restarted the PC as instructed, 2 TMUMH events occurred (see attached). Only difference is that this is shown in upper case in the description whereas it was in lower case before.

  1. Besides the Event Viewer errors issue, are there any problems with your Trend Micro Security? (e.g. cannot open main console, error message XXX is shown)
  2. Has this issue happened before performing the installation of Windows 10 Anniversary Update?
  3. How did you uninstall Trend Micro Security last time? (e.g. using the Diagnostic Toolkit, by control panel)

Hi,

At first startup this morning I now find that Trend is blocking access to Event Viewer, Registry Editor, Service etc. If I exit Trend, access to the above is restored.

This is new.
