TM slows internet down

My internet is really slow. If I switch off TM it has it's normal speed back again.
OS: WIN8 browsers: FF, IE, Chrome product: TM maximum security Versie: 12.0.1226 (Onderdeelversies)  Type: Volledige versie Verloopt op: 4-1-2020 All other functions have normal speed. PC itself is not slowed down. Please help asap, my PC is useless now.

We understand that you are having troubles with your Internet Browsing experience as it seems to slow down when running along with your Trend Micro Security.

We would like to know if you are running the latest versions of your browsers? Our programs makes use of the Real Time Scan that checks possible malicious activities online and I can say that compatibility of the browsers play a huge role on this problem. For now, make sure that all of your browsers are up to date and then let us know if they make any improvements.

You may also want to check if your Operating System has a pending update as well.
