Hi! After the latest update, TM Internet Securty started to block some office 2010 applications (Outlook, Word) and some others (e.g. teamviewer) on Windows 10.
Anybody knows how to solve it? (smth besides adding programs to exceptions ́ list)
Thanks!

I assume your TM Internet Security is version 11 (2016)? My best guess of your Trend micro security blocking your office 2010 (Outlook, Word) is because your version of 2010 is an old version? I had that issue on my desktop computer (windows 7), not my on this 2 month old laptop (windows 10). My new laptop has the latest version of office but i didn't install it because I installed an good alternative program of MS Office which is Kingsoft Office Free. As for your teamviewer, I am not really sure of what is going on? About your 2010 applications (Outlook, Word) did you try going to the Microsoft Community (Forum) and asking about this situation? Try there, they may have a solution for you?

Hi ahsans, thanks for helping!

Hi mike.vassiliev, may I know which version are you using? You can follow this page to perform a manual update and confirm the version number of your Trend Micro Security. (e.g. 11.0.1186)

If the version number starts from 10, please do the steps below and let me know if that fixes this problem.

  1.  On your keyboard, press Windows key + R key to open the Run command.
  2.  Type "SupportTool.exe" on the open field, then click OK.
  3.  Select (B) Threats tab, tick Pause User Mode Hooking to enable it.
  4.  Restart your computer.
If the version number starts from 11, we might need to gather some logs from you to investigate further. Please also let us know.

Uninstall MS Office Apps and install Kingsoft Office Free. Trend Micro 2018 latest version won't cause any problems or issues. I have both of them. No problems on my end.
