threats found how do I remove them?

A full scan has been done and a number of threats have been found.  On the log it simply says action "ignored".  How do I clean them off my laptop?

Hi @k.f.oliveri, we totally understand your concerns.

To answer your question, the reason behind this is because those file/s needs permission before your Trend Micro Antivirus can delete them or maybe those threats might be attachments in your email. Hence I suggest you manually go to the file location and delete those files. The file location is included in the scan result of your Trend Micro program.

I have the same questions. I'm curious how this works, couldn't you cause more problems by just going to the file and trying to delete it or uninstall it? I'm used to security software removing threats or giving better instructions for the removal of threats that are found. It is not very helpful to the average user to just say found it and walk away.

Let me discuss to you further the actions being done by Trend Micro whenever threats are being detected. 

1. Removed/Deleted - the file is malicious
2. Quarantined - the file is suspicious
3. Ignored - the file is suspicious

Suspicious means that the file might or might not be dangerous. It is possible that the attachment being detected is an executable file(.exe) which is not compatible with Mac computer. Meaning, not all .exe files are malicious that's why you have the option to manually remove that or you can keep the said file if you think that it is safe.
