The Trend Micro update will not install on my iPad after upgrading to iOS 10. It installs on my iPhone with iOS 10 without problems.

Thanks for letting us know this issue. For this issue, unfortunately, the latest version that you have downloaded from the AppStore for the application can no longer support the update for iOS 32-bit devices. We have a support document which explains what devices are compatible with Trend Micro Mobile Security for iOS version 5.0:

Is it anticipated that a future update of Trend Micro will be able to be used on iPad 4?  If so, when is it likely to be available?

Hi luxor,

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Due to Apple's limitation we are unable to filter the devices getting the update so you encounter the error message instead. We currently do not have solutions for this issue. For a workaround, we suggest you restoring Trend Micro Mobile Security for iOS app from iTunes if you kept the Trend Micro Mobile Security for iOS 3.1 version backed up on your iTunes.

You say you "currently do not have solutions for this issue".  Does that mean you may have a solution at some future time or that Trend Micro Security will never again be compatible with my iPad?
Also, do I really need to restore an earlier version from iTunes?  Can't I just leave the currently installed version on my iPad and ignore the update?  Will that still provide some level of protection?

Hi luxor, we totally understand your concerns.

We are working on making sure if there is a version that will be compatible and can still provide security to 32-bit iOS device. For your question, you can use the current version that you have installed on your iPad and ignore the update. Trend Micro Mobile Security for iOS will provide protection from latest threat however, the features will be limited to what the current version has.

Hi @verbpean, @paulbarrow1, sorry for not getting back earlier. 

For your question, if you are using 32-bit iOS device, you can use your subscription on older versions of Mobile Security for iOS. It is best you do not update your Mobile Security for iOS.

Also, if you have a plan to purchase new devices or you have other devices since the subscription is transferrable, there will be no wasted seat.
