I reinstalled before getting this message. Picked maximum security, which I guess I shouldn't have, since my serial number begins with T. It didn't recognize my serial # & only allowed me to use trail version. How do I get back to the permanent service I had?

If your serial number starts with "T", please contact Best Buy or your Internet Service Provider. It's depending on where you got the product. Or you can refer to the following support page to install your Trend Micro Security:
