There are some free tools available at the Trend Micro website below. I have used Rubotted and Safe Surfing. They're free add-ons or scans. Choose what you think may be relevant to your situation. Oh! NEVER open a link you're not certain of! You can always scan said link before open it by right-clicking with your mouse. T. M. should show up when you do and an option to scan the link before you open it is there.
Hi @mooncake2004, welcome to Trend Micro Community!
For your situation, we cannot be 100% sure that you got scammed or not. However, one thing you could do is run an update manually and perform a Full Scan by following steps:
- Right-click on the Trend Micro system tray icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.
- Click "Check for Program Updates" and the About Your Software windows will appear and will automatically check for available updates.
- Perform a Full Scan again:
Running a scan using your Trend Micro Security software - refer to "Performing Quick or Full Scan"
Also, do you know that as part of Trend Micro Security, an Antispam Toolbar feature is available for mail programs (e.g. MS Outlook, Windows Live Mail).
If you have set up the mail program to receive emails from external email services like Gmail and Yahoo Mail, the spams from those email accounts will be filtered. If you haven't enabled our Antispam Toolbar in your mail client, please give it a shot:
Using the Antispam Toolbar of Trend Micro Security
You can go to Configuring the Antispam Toolbar, and change the setting of "Spam Email Filter" and "Using the Email Link Filter" to "High" level. And, when you are checking these emails, we strongly recommend that you avoid clicking links and files in suspicious emails.
Please let me know if you have more concerns or questions by replying here. Thank you.
