System Tray Icon is stuck on "Now scanning...". I have tried the 'Hotfixes' and the problem still persists. I get the impression that the scanning is happening as the entire system is slowed down and my other programs are 'hanging' or 'lagging'.
We understand that you are having troubles with the Trend Micro program being unable to complete a scan. Allow me to share some ideas with you.
May we know if you have other Antivirus program aside from the Trend Micro Security? If yes, please remove them first as they are exhausting the same resources that our program uses and may cause this problem. Also, if you have other programs installed on your computer that you are not familiar with, consider checking them first and try to have them removed as well. You may check your computer's Control Panel - Programs and Features portion for the list of the installed programs on your computer.
You may also try consider upgrading your Trend Micro Security to the latest version or do a reinstall of the program. You may download the installer file here for free!
