Spyware detected

If trend micro just says it detected spyware, does this mean that any action has been taken? Or that I now need to take action to remove the spyware?

Thank you for informing us of this issue. Per your description, we suspect the detected program has been blocked by Maximum Security during a real-time scan, but cannot be removed due to access permissions.
To remove the program manually, we suggest you follow the steps below to reboot your computer and perform a Full Scan of Maximum Security.
  1. Reboot your computer
  2. Right-click the Trend Micro system tray icon at the bottom right corner of your screen, then select Check for Program Updates
  3. After update completed, double-click the Trend Micro system tray icon to open the main console of your Maximum Security
  4. Click the arrow beside Scan, then select Full Scan
After the Full Scan completed, you can refer to the support page below to check if the detected program has been removed.
About Trend Micro Security’s Threat Log - see "How Can I Access Threat Logs?" and select the log type as "Spyware"

If the program has not been removed, please provide a screenshot of spyware logs, and we'll be glad to continue to assist you.
