Hi thebooshkis

What do you mean shut off? Do you see an indication that the program is not working or turned off? If you could provide us a screenshot, that would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

There is an icon in the toolbar, when I scroll over it it says" Protected by, blahh blah..."
Lately, when I go online, I check that icon and it is GONE.
Click on Trend  shortcut and icon comes back with message that says "Starting Protection"
Then "protected  by Trend.
Some how my Trend is being turned off when I am not using it.
Has started with this iteration of your renewal suite.

I see. Can you please update the program to its latest version? Here's how:
  1. Open the Trend Micro main console.
  2. Click on the icon of a man at the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Select About the software.
Check if the issue still persists. If yes, proceed with restarting the program's components by following the instructions here:

Disabling or enabling your Trend Micro Security software

Let me know the results.

It is updated. I have had to manually start it every day.I do not "Turn it off" manually. It  updates daily/when there is new...Previous to the March upgrade/renewal, there were no issues..
.
Now that we have established that it is current and I DO NOT turn it off......any ideas now??It shut off windows defender too, whatever it is.I have checked and scanned and to no avail, nothing is missing or corrupt or infected but it is getting bloody annoying.

Thank you for checking that thebooshkis.

Please verify if you have any other security software or unwanted applications on your PC. You may check it in your installed programs by going into the Control Panel then choose Programs. If you are familiar with all the installed applications on your PC, you may proceed with to clean reinstall the Trend Micro program.

We'll be waiting for your response.
