I am disappointed that Trend Micro allowed SmartPackageTracker infect my computer. I have tried to get rid of the spyware but with success. Why can't Trend Micro do it? Isn't that what I'm paying for?

Sorry to hear that, pennington.

Smart Package Tracker is an adware that may have been installed with a possible unwanted program on your computer. This may happen when our Trend Micro Security program was not able to prevent the installation of this program due to the permission that the user has granted to the program so it can be installed.

Like the advertisements, Freeware developers make profit out of the ads that come with their applications upon download and installation. These ads may lead to an installation of another application along the process. These applications were given permission by the users themselves through the End User License Agreement that you may have agreed to proceed with the installation.
