Serial Number isnt working

Hi. I just upgraded my mac to the OS and Micro Trend said i needed to update my software also. So i downloaded a newer version and tried to activate it with my Serial Number, but its saying it wont work, its to a different version. Any help? It was working just fine on this same mac.

May I know where did you download the installer that you have used? You might have used an old link to have it downloaded.

You may try downloading it directly from our Support page. See this link.

Installing Antivirus for Mac

Kindly try installing it again using the file included in the page and see if it works.

I tried downloading from the link and it gave me the same message again.. 

"The serial number you provided works for another edition of Trend Micro Antivirus. Please check your serial number and try again."

I checked my subscription and its for the right program, its just not accepting the serial

Thanks for the quick reply.

It seems that you are installing a Trend Micro program that is not compatible with your license. Take note that the Antivirus for Mac installation only accepts the serial number that starts with X, M and in some other cases P.

If you wish to use a license that starts with A, there might be troubles with it as it can only used on Windows PCs.

Can you check this with us so we can confirm?

It begins with T. It worked on the same mac BEFORE the update to the new OS. Any ideas?
