Separate scans for trojan horse viruses?

Does Trend Micro Maximum Security have a separate scan for Trojan Horse viruses?  We have a Full Scan scheduled for 10:00 PM to run overnight.  When we wake the computer in the morning a dialog pops up saying that it is doing a trojan horse scan and renders the computer useless during the time of the scan, maybe 15-20 minutes.  Wondering why this might be and if there is a way to make it scan overnight as well.  Thoughts?

Try a short scan during the day and look at the results at the end. The Trojan Horse part of the scan is one of the first searches in the scan (at least on mine) and you can look at the results rather than have the device shut down after it finishes the scan. I don't believe TM security has a separate scan for them.

Hi woodartisan55 and Amir, thanks for helping!

Hi j.uddin, as woodartisan55 mentioned, scan for Trojan Horse viruses is part of Full and Quick Scan, and there's no separate scan for Trojan Horse viruses.

Per your description, I suspect that your Trend Micro Security did not work during the night since Scheduled Scan does not run when your computer is off, have full-screen mode running, on Hibernate mode, Sleep mode, or if you logged out of Windows OS.

To solve this problem, I suggest you locking your computer screen (press Ctrl key, Alt key, and Delete key at the same time, and then select Lock from the options) before you go to sleep, and see if the Scheduled Scan worked properly for you.

Please let me know if this suggestion works for you, and I'll assist you if you still encounter problems.
