Is Trend Micro Toolbar no longer supported in Mozilla Firefox browser 50.0? After re-image Windows 8.1 find TMicro Toolbar not working in Firefox; Firefox Add-ons msg “Trend Micro BEP Firefox extension could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled”; TMicro Main Console has default browser set to Internet Explorer (not preferred); but can load TMicro Toolbar in Internet Explorer

Hi nastywoman058,

Hi i did some testing for you, i run Win10, TM 11.0
With Firefox 50 x86 no problems, with the x64 version i got the same problem, no working toolbar!
Did this test 3 times now, same result, i think there is a job for TM here!!

Kind regards,
Tom

Hi nastywoman058 and Tom, thanks for letting us know about this issue.

I've tested the problem you mentioned with Firefox 50.0.1 on Windows 7/8.1/10 64-bit PC, but couldn't reproduce the error on my end. Is it possible for you to provide a screenshot here and let me know the version number of Trend Micro BEP Firefox extension you're using?

Hi Claudia,

Are you sure you downloaded and install the Firefox 64 bit?
Because default you download the x86 version also if the system is 64bit!
The strange thing is that beb and toolbar are in the Add-ons and you can turn them on and off, but noting happen.
You can also see that the toolbar is not there.
If i install the 32 bit version it looks the same but the Toolbar cums up and it is working!

Kind regards,
Tom

Thanks all, much appreciated. Just after posting this question the Firefox 50.0.1 update came in (slow patchy comms way out here), retested but no change. Frustrated, I phoned TM support who resolved issue via remote. I'm still no wiser on root cause, will work on forum's advice - startiing at reload 64bit Firefox +screenshots - thanks again

Hi Tom and unicorn,

Sorry for my misunderstanding, and I was testing with Firefox 50.0.1 32 bit yesterday : (

Regarding this issue, the root cause is that Titanium is NOT able to support the following web browsers currently:
  • Internet Explorer 10 (Windows Store version)
  • Internet Explorer 11 (Windows Store version)
  • Firefox 64-bit
  • Edge 32-bit and 64-bit
Sorry for the inconvenience that might cause. We will continue to improve our products and hope we can support above browsers soon!
