Safety checkmarks on emails makes headings unreadable - Stop it!!

Relatively new check marks and green highlight on headings in emails to show links are safe makes those headlines UNREADABLE. The font is white, the shading is green and there are checkmarks in front of headlines. I can NO LONGER read the links. Please discontinue this and return to the prior black font with NO shading, checkmarks can stay as they don't inhibit the readability. Stop doing this PLEASE! I will disable TREND MICRO and use something else if not. So much of my reading ability is negatively impacted by this new feature.

Hello Heidi, and welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the highlight. The green shading was designed to make sure that customers can easily identify if  the links are safe or dangerous.

As you may have noticed in the first photo, the "Order Now" is also in white but the links below it is already in black. The font color is dependent on the sender's design.

We will be filing this though as a feedback to our developers so that they can double check the feature. Thank you for understanding.

Regards,
Mac

Please discontinue the highlight-on-type. If you would like to leave little checkmarks in circled highlight that is fine, it doesn't inhibit what one is trying to read. At least provide us with instructions for turning this feature OFF. Thanks for submitting to your developers. I am serious about investigating other companies' safety software if you can't resolve this soon.

Hi Heidi

In the menu of the Trend Micro Toolbar choose the option hover with mouse and put off the other won.

Kind regards,
Tom

Tom,  In your reply your wrote, "...choose the option hover with mouse and put off the other won." Which option? and what does, "...put off the other won" mean?

It sounds like you are giving me instruction to turn off the highlighting??? Good! But, please respond and give me clearer instructions on how to do this - your wording is confusing. Thanks, Heidi

Hi

In the toolbar of your browser there are 2 options here mine in Dutch.

Put only on the won with  " Evaluate linking by pointing with the mouse "

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Tom

Tom, Great! Dank u - I followed your instruction and it now only highlights and check-marks when I roll-over with the mouse. My apology, and I extend my respect and gratitude for your knowledge and assistance. Heidi
