The discounts or sale depends actually on our Marketing Team. Like right now, new purchase is discounted depending also on the sale period. It was timely probably when you renewed your subscription back then that it was cheaper compared to now. And as of now, the price that you’re currently seeing is currently the original price of the product that is why it is a bit expensive compared to the new purchase.

Unfortunately , you did not explain anything; the renewal issue has been reported many times and it seems like there is no mechanism to reward loyalty.
The idea of hopping that the user will not notice and will pay £110 is outrageous .
I always bought TM subscription from third parties, sometime as low as 8$ / 3 devices / 1 year.
