Removing Duplicate Files

I see this topic is a year old, but I could not find any conversation that was closer to my topic.  I have many duplicate files (most photos.) Many original files have already been deleted, leaving only multiple copies of the original.  I am afraid to select "remove duplicates" in the event that it removes all of that file, because everything looks like a copy.  If this makes any sense... can you answer?

Hello geevs65,

Welcome to the Community.

To answer your concern, you just have to leave 1 instance for every duplicate before removing it all.

Example it detected that you have 3 copies of a specific file. Let's say the file name is "Study of Nature.docx", all you need to do is to tick two of it then remove.

I hope this answers your question.
