I used the program delay function to improve startup times but discovered that it did not just delay programs, it caused them not to load. I need to bring a couple of programs back into the startup list - how do I do that?

Hello there savagepeter ! Welcome to the community!.

We understand that you wish to add a the programs back to the Start Up list of your operating system. Allow me to share the procedure on how to do it.

The Windows Operating System has a dedicated folder where it saves the shortcut of the executable files that you wish to run on Startup.

You can go directly to that folder through the Run command which is executed by holding the Windows Key and then tapping the R button once. On the open field that you will have, enter this location.

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Then hit enter.

Just paste the the .exe shortcut of the programs that you wish to run on startup and it should be all set afterwards.

Hope this helps.
