Regarding your $50 rebate system, I can't say that I'm impressed with the 28 day turn around for the rebate to be credited to my account. If you're going to return someone's money, then do so at least nearly as quickly as your expectation to receive money from your customer.

I am sorry if you are not impressed with how the cash back promo works but I would like to inform you that we don't have the control regarding the number of days on when you can claim the cash back offer because our Marketing Department are the ones who makes the strategy on how they will offer promos or discount on the online store.

The cashback claim must be submitted online at Trend Micro ANZ Online Cashback.

"we" who?  I understand that you work for Trend Micro ( hence your name TM_...) , but you answered like you work for a different entity, not Trend Micro.

The OP couldn't address his concern to the Marketing department, so he/she came here to express the frustration.

All you have to do is to inquire to your Marketing Department and provide a pertinent answer.

Thank you for your comments. Our apologies for the troubles. Allow me to continue elaborating how our cashback promotion works.

The cash back will be credited back to your account via electronic fund transfer within 28 days. It doesn't mean that you will wait for the next 28 days for the amount to be credited back to your account. But rest assured that it is within 28 days and will not go beyond that. 

These are all processes needed to claim the rebate. We set it for at least 28 days for us to be able to have enough time to review the form filed from your cashback redemption site. After submitting the form, we don't just process the rebate, we check for the following:  

1. The claim is within 30 days after the purchase.
2. If a new serial number was given, verify if the new license has been activated.
3. Check if the order number corresponds with the purchase made.
