Ransomware Protection. All of my data is in one folder except my Outlook data files. Right now my data folder is protected using Trent Micro Max Security s/w. How can I EITHER protect both folders using TM Max Sec OR move the Outlook data files to the folder containing my other data---and still have Outlook function normally?

Thanks,

John Baker

Hello there jbaker ! Welcome to the community!

If we understand correctly, this inquiry is about the Ransomware protection with regard to the Folder Shield feature.

As of the latest version, the Folder Shield feature can only cover 1 folder (all files and sub-folders under it). By default, it is set to protect your Documents folder but you can set it to protect any other folders located on your computer. To maximize the protection, you may set the Folder Shield protection on the Users folder.

You may click on this link for a different thread where our friends in this community discussed this feature.

Our team is currently developing a new version of the Trend Micro program that can cover multiple folders under the Folder Shield. We will be notifying our existing clients once the new version is available for download and installation.

Let us know if this works.
