protection disabled restart needed.

When i have put my laptop on it says protection disabled and i need to restart, today is the 20th of february and i have done 4 restarts, i do online study and havent been able to do any this morning due to this issue always arising. it comes up with a message saying protection disabled restart needed. Is this a common issue?

Hello darrenborg471 and welcome to the Community!

Continuous restart happens when there is a remnant of the old program's version. With that we need to do a clean re-installation. Kindly follow the steps below.

1. Press the Windows + R on your keyboard. 
2. In the Run window, type in "supporttool" to open the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
3. Go to the Uninstall tab and click the Uninstall Software. Take note of your Serial Number as it will not be saved during clean re-installation.
4. Wait for the uninstallation to finish. Do not Restart the computer yet until step number 5 is completed.
5. Download and run the Remnant Remover. Refer to the link below.

6. Reinstall the program. You may download the installer through the link below.
