I purchased the Trend Micro Maximum Security which covers two devices. I have had no problem installing it on my good laptop which has Windows 10 but can't seem to install it on my old laptop which has Windows XP. I did ask that question when i purchased the program and I was assured by the sales assistant at the Good Guys that it could be installed on both Windows 10 and Windows XP. How can I successfully install it on the laptop with Windows XP?

Hello heatonbeth ! Welcome to the community!

We understand that you are having troubles with Installing the Trend Micro security program on your Windows XP machine.

You may see this link for our full statement with regard to the XP Operating System.

Trend Micro's official statement for Windows XP's Consumer End of Support (EOS)

As per the statement,

"Microsoft has announced that all official support for the Windows XP OS has ended on April 8, 2014, which includes all bug fixes and vulnerability patches. After April 8, any new vulnerability that may be discovered or targeted at Windows XP will not be addressed by Microsoft and may be of concern to users, especially those who have not yet upgraded to the latest supported OS.

You may still choose to install the Version 10 of the Trend Micro Security which is the last known version compatible with Windows XP. However, if there will be any problems with regard to the program through out your use, we may have problems with regard to supporting it.

I hope this helps,

All the best,
