Problem with FireFox "hotkeys".

Any Anti-Virus should be able to run in Safe-Mode.  I just had a problem with FireFox.  It offered something about "hotkeys"; I declined.  FireFox froze my keyboard.  I started Trend Micro by mouse to find the problem.  Trend Micro froze at 80% scan; it would not finish the scan or close the window to start another scan.  I had to restart the computer to scan again.  Restarting the computer is usually how bugs activate in the system.  The scan completed, but did not find anything.  It always makes me nervous when there is an obvious problem and a scan does not find it.  My keyboard is obviously working again, but I fear there is still a bug in the system.
