Problem uninstalling Trend Micro on Mac OS Sierra

Need to upgrade to later version of Trend product that is compatible with Mac OS Sierra. Requires uninstall of old version. When attempting to uninstall, get error message "components could not be unistalled successfully, please try again later". Multiple attempts - try again later does not appear to resolve.
