PC Cleaner Pro keeps popping up on my computer saying it has detected some 7000+ items that should be fixed. Do I need to do this (for a price)?

Thank you very much for being a long-time Trend Micro product user! For your question, you don't need to do what PC Cleaners ask you do, since PC Cleaners is commonly called potentially unwanted application (PUA), and are typically bundled with other freeware, and installed as an option most people do not uncheck during installation. It isn't really malicious, so Maximum Security dosesn't remove it directly. Please try the following online solution doc to check if you can remove PC Cleaners on your computer first:
Uninstalling Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA)

Please let us know if your question is answered. Thank you!

Thank you I will try your suggestion. I am also getting a popup stating I have a Maleware threat and I need to use PC Cleaners to get rid of it. I thought Trend Micro would automatically take of this?

Thanks for your reply! For your concern, paid antivirus will provide your computer with different layers of solution from prevention, detection, and cleanup while free antivirus might rely on just a few which requires it to be aggressive in their detection which can lead to a false alarm.

You can contact our Support Team anytime to submit a sample of the file detected by the free antivirus you used so we can verify whether it really is malicious or not.
