I have initiated parental control on my daughter's account - 3 hours per day, blocked after 9pm but everytime she logs in it comes up 5 minutes remaining - get more time option brings up the parental password input dialogue. The other accounts on the device are not limited in any way. If no password is entered she is logged out and has to go through the logging in process again - for another 5 minutes before being logged out.

HI KJC,

We would like to ask if you have checked the Time Limits on the system clock time and Program Controls - ensure that the program being accessed is not on the list. If those two features are properly set and still encountering the same problem, please let us know.

Regards,

Hi Trend  Support,

I am having a similar issue on both my boys PC laptops. I have setup parental control, time limits to 2 hours weekdays and 3 hours weekends, Once the boys reach their daily limit, a pop up says they have 5 minutes to save etc..... and then they get logged out and all they have to do is log in for another five minute session. Is there a way they cannot get back in once their daily usage is exceeded ?. we are running the latest version Version:11.1.1045 W7 64bit, Kids have User access not admin or power users each using their own laptop.

Regards

Hello @theos.tzanis and welcome to the community!

Thank you for sharing this experience. We understand the importance of such monitoring and usage limitation on your sons' laptops. Going back to your concern, please make sure that the Parental Controls on both of your sons' laptops are set to "Set a detailed daily schedule". You may leave the graph for the days of the week untouched and use the feature under "Select how many hours per day your children may use this computer."

Also, you may want to consider updating or changing the password for your Trend Micro program since they get to have access to the internet just by logging in. The feature that will let them sign in so they can have another session is part of the design of Parental Controls, we hope that you understand that matter. The best solution for this is to update the password for the Trend Micro program on your sons' laptops.

Should you have concerns, please do not hesitate to reach us here in the community. Have a great day!
