Hi Guys, I've just hit a new error that started tonight after an update from Trend. Microsoft Outlook won't work when Trend is on - but when I disable Trend it goes. Help, that's not useful. How do I fix. Error message is 0xc0000e5. Just completely shuts down.

Hi @Frankie, I understand your frustration.

In order to troubleshoot the issue, we suggest trying the steps below to check if your problem is solved:
  1. Click Start > Run.
  2. Type “winword.exe” in Search programs and files field.
  3. Then right click "winword.exe", and click Properties.
  4. Properties will open and click "Compatibility tab".
  5. Check the box for "Run this program as an administrator".
  6. Click OK.
If the problem persists after you tried above steps, could you please provide the following info so we can assist you further:
  •  Version of your Outlook?
  •  Is Trend Micro Anti-Spam Toolbar is enabled in your Outlook?
  •  Are the other computers encountering the same issue?
  •  Does the problem happen to other Microsoft Office Programs? (e.g. Power Point, Word, Excel etc.)
  •  Provide the description or screenshot of the error message.
More information can help us assist you better, thank you!

Hi Guys, I seem to have fixed the error for outlook but now it appears to be happening with Big Fish games. I have to disable Trend to open Big Fish games app and download or play games. Same error message as for outlook - 0xc00000e5. What do I do now? I also tried the above steps and that doesn't appear to work for me either. Please help.

Hi @Frankie, thanks for the reply!

The above steps are for Outlook, so for your Big Fish games issue this time, could you please check out this article for step by step directions on how to add URLs on the block Exception List:
Configuring the Exception List of Trend Micro Security software - refer to "Add or Block Websites"

If the problem persists after adding Big Fish games URLs to Exception List, please let us know does the error show when you're downloading or playing games all of the games from Big Fish Games or just the specific game(s), and a  picture of the screen for this issue would also be very helpful. Thank you.

Hi Linda

Thanks for that. It worked!! I had turned off Trend  to use my other programs so I'm very pleased your suggestion worked. Everything is back up and running as it should. FYI - Trend support centre told me it was a Microsoft issue but I knew it wasn't. Thanks again. Have a great day.
