Not compatible with Opera browser at all?

I was using Opera as usual until I started having problems with Opera. For not apparently reason Trend Micro seems to shut down my new tabs and searches within that particular browser, I have not problems whatsoever with Edge nor Firefox but I still want to use Opera. 

I detected the issue when I turn off Trend Micro so I was able to use Opera as intended. That was old school procedure according to me, I did something alike for several years ago with another antivirus program as part of a troubleshooting. I already have allowed Opera as trusted software but Trend Micro doesn't care most of the time.

The thing is: I have reinstalled Opera several times and the issues reminds. I have googled it and I do not fetch any answer at all. I contacted Trend Micro chat support and after several minutes he told me that the antivirus is NOT compatible with Opera. That is very awkward situation because Opera is not something cryptic by any means. Perhaps I will have better luck running Onion next time.

Sometimes, it seems to work back to normal; others, it take ages fetching new tabs, links, searches and so on. I am not happy. Luckily, my subscription ends in march next year and I will be forced to find another antivirus that work not matter which browser I prefer.

Hi oscar, 

Opera browser may not be supported by Trend Micro but you shouldn't experience this issue. Have you tried updating the browser to its latest version? Can you also try to replicate this on other browsers?
