I recently installed Mac Sierra. I had no alert from Trend Micro to say it was incompatible before installing nor the protection disabled message once installed. I have just seen this message in a screen shot once I opened the message I have been getting which just suggests it might be time to upgrade. My upgrade isn't due until July 18th this year. I had emails offering $50 off each type of antivirus advertised in the message- again I had no reason to think I had lost protection- until Saturday when I received a series of bogus emails. I tried to get help from support but I have to select an operating system and I don't have windows, just Pages on Mac so can't access that support system as a selection is required. I have been very happy with Trend Micro until now. How do I get this protection back and why no alert?

Welcome to the Home Users Community, kathrynargyle!

To download the latest version of Trend Micro program that's compatible for Mac OS Sierra, please go to the link: Installing Antivirus for Mac

I do think you are not getting any alerts since I see that the Trend Micro program installed on your Mac is the 2017 version which is still compatible for Mac OS Sierra. If you have installed Mac OS High Sierra, you'll get a notification on the Trend Micro icon itself advising you to install the latest version.

With regards to "support system", are you perhaps referring to Trend Micro Chat Support? There should be an option for you to choose the product as "Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac" so that you can choose from different Mac Operating Systems.

Warm Regards....
