My Trend Micro Internet Security recently has been closing on its own accord. It will even close down during a scan. Searching on the Internet I notice that I am not the only one who has experienced this problem. What should I do? The software was installed at the time I purchased my computer so I do not have a copy of the software if you suggest that I reinstall it.  I am using Trend Micro Internet Security software on an HP computer

As long as you have a valid serial number for your copy, you should be able to access your account at trendsecure.com and download the latest version for reinstallation. You may have to unlinstall the current version first,

Hi krueger34,

This is due to a Trend Micro component having stack overflow issues. To solve this, please follow the instructions in this link:

Thanks guys for responding to my problem.  Believe it or not the problem went away.  I don't know if Trend Micro slipped me an update that corrected the problem or if it was something that I did.  The only thing that I did was to pin the Trend Micro icon to my task bar and the problem went away.  Coincidence?  I don't know, but I do know that I am running just fine now.  I saved your emails in a Trend Micro folder in case the problem rears its ugly head again.  Thanks again.
