Mozilla Firefox crashes unless Maximum Security is disabled

A couple of weeks ago I started having problems with Mozilla Firefox.
When I start the software, It would take forever to start and come up with errors when loading its home page.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.
After trying multiple suggested solutions, I disabled my Trend Micro Maximum Security and Firefox recovered straight away.
The question is, how can I run these two programs at the same time?
I am running Windows 10 on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with Maximum Security version 10.0

Official Response
Hi Tom, thanks for helping!

Hi Dale Macdonald, as Tom mentioned, you may try upgrading to the Trend Micro Security 2017 (11.0) and see if the problem solved with the latest version. Since the product you're using is Trend Micro Maximum Security, please find the suitable installer here: Upgrading Trend Micro Maximum Security to the latest version

Note: It's free to upgrade the program with an unexpired license, and it will not affect the remaining days of your current license.

Please let us know if Firefox works normally with Maximum Security 2017.
