migrate to a new imac

I just migrated data to a new iMac. Everything seems to have transferred well, but I noticed that I'm not seeing the Trend Micro logo at the top of the Safari screen. I seem to recall that it was there before, and it's there in Chrome. The Trend Micro app says I'm protected. Should I assume everything is OK?

We understand that you are having troubles with the Trend Micro Toolbar on your Safari Browser. Allow me to help you with this.

It is actually easy to set up. First, we need to make sure that the Trend Micro program is installed on your computer (Click on this link for the guide on how to install).

You may follow the steps on this link to add the extension/toolbar on your Safari Browser.

Using the Trend Micro Toolbar of Antivirus for Mac

As per checking, it is stated that the Toolbar for Safari should be enabled by default. Anyway, the steps are easy to have it enabled again.

The program is already installed. I can open it, run scans, and perform updates. The only question I have is this: On Chrome I can see the Trend logo along with the other extensions. I don't see the logo on Safari. It used to be there before I migrated the data. I'm trying to find out whether that's a problem (i.e., Safari hasn't integrated Trend) or that it doesn't matter. Should I uninstall and re-install, or just let it go?

Let us try to re-enable the Trend Micro Toolbar on your Safari browser.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Open the main console of your Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac.
2. Click Web.
3. Go to Web Threat Protection tab.
4. Click the lock icon on the lower left of the main console. A window asking for your password will appear.
5. Tick the check box for Enable Toolbar on Web Browser.
6. A pop-up window will appear with the message:"You must restart your browser for the changes to take effect.", please click on OK.
7. Another pop-up will appear on your screen which has the message: "Are you sure you want to install the extension Trend Micro Toolbar for Mac?", click on Trust.
8. Open Safari to confirm if the toolbar has successfully installed on the browser.
