Thanks for asking here! Regarding your situation, let's isolate to make sure your Microsoft Edge error is not due to Maximum Security. Please check if this error is displayed after you temporarily disable Maximum Security. We have a support document that explains how to do this:
Disabling or enabling your Trend Micro Security software

If the problem persists, reset Edge might solve the problem. Here's the Microsoft community discussion for your reference:
Microsoft Edge - reset the default settings

After the above troubleshooting steps, if you're still seeing the Microsoft Edge error, please provide a description or picture of the message, we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks.

Alternatively, since you're a valued subscriber of our premium support service, please call our 24x7 premium support center and a support expert will work with you to diagnose and resolve your issue. Please find the premium support number for Australia on this web page.

Thank you for your reply. I resolved the issue by running a malware program. Do I need to have malware software running as well as Trend?

Glad to know the problem is resolved! For your inquiry, having multiple antivirus programs installed at the same time can cause performance issues and make your computer more vulnerable to threats. Therefore, we suggest you install only one antivirus software on your computer.

Please feel free to post questions or report issues here in this community in the future.
