Many apps and features unresponsive since installing Mobile Security

Since installing this app I find many apps are unresponsive when I need to use them.  Today it even hung up the phone app so I couldn't make a call without rebooting my phone.
The pull-down status bar at the top is often not responding to me until I have tried to access it maybe 5 or 6 times.
I am also having more problems with finger print access than I remember having before.

Are there any specific features of Mobile Security that I can disable to make it stop interfering with the use of my phone?

Oh, and I seem to be getting phantom screen touch events sometimes now too,  which has never happened before on this phone.

Hi lhf,

Make a backup from all your important things and do a factory restore.
Than so quick as possible install TM and the rest back.

There are may causes why you are encountering this issue. Below are some examples:

1. Multiple third-party applications or built-in applications installed and are running in the background (even if you are not using these).
2. Your phone's memory is almost full.
3. The mobile phone might be old or the device is wearing off.
4. Recent updates of the operating system are too heavy and require a lot of resources to run, thus causing the device to perform slowly.
5. Your have an animated live wallpaper which takes up graphics and memory usage.

As of now, we can provide the recommended solution for your phone:

1. Uninstall third-party applications you don't use.
2. Delete files you don't need or transfer them to a different location (like your laptop or hard drive) in order to free some space.
3. Use a static wallpaper rather than a live one.

We can also recommend that you disable or use some of our applications features if the above solution does not work:
1. Turn off Lost Device Protection.
  • Open the Mobile Security application.
  • Tap on Lost Device Protection.
  • Remove the check mark for Find My Android to the left to turn off Lost Device Protection.
2. Disable Parental Controls.
  • Open the Mobile Security application.
  • Tap on Parental Controls.
  • In the App Lock tab, slide the toggle beside App Lock to the left to turn off disable App Lock.
  • In the Website Filter tab, slide the toggle to the left to turn off Website Filter.
3. Utilize the App Manager feature to manage your applications.
  • Open the Mobile Security application.
  • Tap on App Manager.
  • In the Uninstall tab, put a check mark beside applications you don't use to uninstall them or tap on Pre-installed apps and disable pre-installed applications that take up a lot of memory (Note: Don't disable pre-installed applications that are required for the system to run).
  • In the Setup Files tab, delete applications that are in the system but are not installed (if any).
4. Use the System Tuner feature to optimize your device.
  • Open the Mobile Security application.
  • Tap on System Tuner.
  • Allow permissions for System Tuner to be enabled (if applicable).
  • In the Memory tab, tap on Optimize to free some memory.
  • In the Battery tab, tap on Optimize to gain battery time.
  • In the Battery tab, slide the toggle of Just-a-Phone Mode  to maximize battery life.
  • Enable Smart Power Saver to save power. You may also configure Smart Standby and Smart Wi-Fi within Smart Power Saver.

I turned off lost device protection, had no problems for a week.  Never had parental controls turned on, or messenger protection as I don't have the app it applies to.
Thanx for your suggestions.  Seems to be all good now.
