I just renewed my Maximum Security subscription. It had expired a few days ago. There is some kind of virus on my computer that is not being caught by TM. I have run a couple of scans to no avail. How do I get TM to pick it up?

Hi dowzerw,

Welcome to the Trend Micro Home Users Community!

How do you say that your computer has a virus and what signs are you encountering? try to follow the steps in this guide in running a scan:

I loaded the newest version of Maximum Security today and ran two scans after than. I'll double check if they were full scans or quick scans.

I can tell my pc is infected w something because I keep getting lower right hand corner pop ups, mostly that masquerade as security software renewal reminders-for McAfee, Norton, Windows security. In the same pop up windows I'm seeing weight loss and sexual solicitations. When I close them out, there is a notification about clickroots.

Hi dowzerw,

This sounds like you have potentially unwanted applications or extensions installed on your computer. This type of programs is installed unknowingly and downloaded with legitimate software.

To remove these pop-ups you can check this guide and proceed with step 2 & 3:

Removing unwanted pop-up messages

I did not go into safe mode. I was able to go in to advanced settings and find the offending website and remove it from the whitelist it had found its way on to.
