Issues with start up

When I start my computer Trend Micro does not load properly.  It takes multiple attempts to get this to run.  I have worked with the Geek Squad to ensure that the system has been properly installed.  It is aggravating and annoying.  In addition - the security process SLOWS everything down.   I am very disappointed in this product.

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours. I am just a volunteer!
I dont no your OS  and TM version.
But it should not slowdown your machine, it does not at mine (at the moment ;)
So my advice is to reinstall your product, but first look here if you are running conflicting software.

I'm sorry that you had to experience this trouble. Can you please provide us a screenshot of the issue? If you constantly get the message "Starting your protection", you may want to check the link below: 

“Starting your protection” appears from the Trend Micro program

Also, kindly check the link that our friend Tom Emmelot posted. You may have conflicting software on your computer that needs to be removed first. :)
