Hi - Out of nowhere when I go into my regular Yahoo Mail account, I got a whole page takeover that said, "This site says... Internet Security Alert! Code: 055BCCAC9FEC. Internet security alert: Your Computer MIght Be Infected By Harmful Viruses." etc. etc. It says to call Windows Technical Support at (855) 334-3967. I took a picture of this page takeover to reference, if needed. I just ran your scan for anything harmful and it came up fine/excellent. Can you help me figure this out? It's happened a second time after the first time, so it's not going away. Thanks!

Hi kcannon13 and welcome to the community!

The pop-up or the message you got is a TechSupport Scam aimed at giving false detection to lure users to calling and payingto have the computer cleaned for what they claim is a virus. Did you call thenumber you have stated? If so, did you allow them to access your computer?

In the meantime, please follow the steps below.

1.Reset your browser.
