Internet connection problem for update purposes

hi my trend micro cant connect to the internet to update , when there's internet available , i have aloud the program through the firewall , still no luck ?

Hi ,

- link " Cannot download updates for Trend Micro program even when connected to the Internet " 

Other solutions :

- Set DNS IPs , 

- Reinstall Antivirus

- reset components . ( Start menu > Trend Micro > Trend Micro Toolkit Tools )

@alana.knight  Sorry to hear this issue. From your description, I suspect you saw the "Unable to contact Trend Micro" error when triggered an update or "Connect to the Internet" error on your main console. We have support articles that addresses these issues. Please give them a try:

1) "Unable to contact Trend Micro" appears in Trend Micro Security software's main console
2) "Connect to the Internet" error message appears from Trend Micro Security software

It's quite a few steps to perform, but please do let us know if it solves this issue. If the problem persists, please send us a screenshot or inform us the error message, and we will do our best to help. Thanks!
