As for your concern for any steps to be taken about the Intel bug which was recently discovered, please see the link below. In there you would need to download a zip file wherein it will add an entry in your Windows Registry. This specific file will allow the Windows Update to automatically occur. Please be advised that incorrectly editing registry entries might affect your device and which is why we suggest creating a backup.
