I went to intall the renewed version of Trend Micro and it said I had already installed it on 3 comp. which I hadnt. I had to remove one which I hope is not my main computer. I tried several times to install on our Mac but it was not compatable. this is only the 2nd device I have installed on and my renewal says it is for 3.

Hi coleman4982

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours. I am just a volunteer!
You can edit the computers in your account!
Kind regards,
Tom

Each time I've had a problem with my software, Trend's fix is to re-install it. Apparently re-installing counts as a new installation.

Hello SEAMANALAN,

Apologies if it seemed like that to you. For the latest version of Trend Micro Security, it will automatically delete the seat of the same computer in your account if you are going to reinstall the program. As long as you will install this on the same machine, it should not count as another installation. Anyway, you can always delete all unnecessary devices under your subscription by signing in to your Trend Micro Account.

Should you have any other concern, do not hesitate to reach out to us!

Regards,
Pat

Your last statement is what led me to my conclusion. When I have one computer & am told: you can always delete all unnecessary devices under your subscription by signing in to your Trend Micro Account.   I ONLY HAVE ONE COMPUTER! HOW DO I ELIMINATE UNNECESARY DEVICES?

Hi SEAMANALAN,

Just access your account via this link: http://www.trendsecure.com. You'll see devices under your account and then click on the "X" button to remove the unnecessary device.

Hello coleman4982 and welcome to the Community!

You may sign in to your Trend Micro Account so you can manage the registered devices under your subscription. Once signed in, you can simply remove the devices that is no longer in service to make room for your new device.

I hope this helps! Should you have any other concern, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Regards,
Pat

OK---I';m reching out. Your answer is irrelevant to my question, which is: WHEN I HAVE ONLY ONE COMPUTER & YOU ADVISE ME TO EIMINATE A REGISTERED DEVICE, it seems you don't comprehend the question. Also, as this is a community forum, your responses to each question should be available in our email for everyone to read.

Hi SEAMANALAN,

There's no option to remove a device under your account if you only have just one device activated or, in other words, you'll be able to delete a device if you have at least 2 devices activated.

If, sometimes, reinstalling the Trend Micro program is counted as another device, you can then be able to remove the older registered device (make sure to use a unique device name if you reinstall the program - best if you use numbers).

-I'm not a Trend Micro representative, but I like to give you some suggestion-

We do not understand if you checked in your account or not.

If an old device needs to be delete from your account, you will find it in your account devices as per image attached. In case 2 devices exist so you can delete one of them. (in my image example there is only one PC).

Are you using the correct Serial Number? Be sure to use the correct one.

Confirm us how many devices you have in that account page.
